I agree with my girl Jenn S on the service - dodgy dodgy. I also agree with Stephen L, not really sure how you manage to mess up a salad but they sure can. I was here yesterday for lunch. I stood at what I believed to be a hostess stand for a good five minutes, while waitstaff bustled past me. I thought maybe I had died on the way there but my soul just hadn't figured it out yet, like in 10% of movies made in the 80s, and even though I felt alive, I was actually invisibile. I may have been pinching myself when finally, this happened: (If you want some character notes here, my voice: slightly annoyed but mostly just relieved I'm not actually invisibile/dead. Her voice, very annoyed, in a style that I like to call valley girl-twang - excellent casting on this one.) Me: "Um, hi.." Louie's waitress: "Um, do you need something?" Me: "Oh just a table," LW: "Um it's seat yourself." Me: "Oh, okay cool - why is there a hostess stand here?" LW: "Oh that's not a hostess stand." (because that would just be INSANE!) ME: "Oh, it's just a big podium in the middle of the front of the restaurant. Cool." (LW had already exited stage left buy this point, so I'm now talking to myself. Midtown business people look on in embarrassment for me) Got it. So I now walk around the restaurant until I find a dirty but unoccupied table, and where I sit germaphobically until someone comes with a dirty rag and dusts the crumbs off the table and onto the booth I'm now sitting on. That sounds like a much better setup than having a hostess who can also bus the occasional table, refill a drink, help a waiter in the weeds. Excellent call. So- the food. Fine. Not memorable, not anything that will bring me back time after time. Just food, affordable in midtown, not exactly somewhere I plan on ruling out either. Not sure why you'd end up here when you could go to Kaiser's and have a better quality meal at the same or better price, just the other side of the roundabout, but with much better service and a better system for taking care of people.

I've been to the Louie's on NW Expressway numerous times without issue; the same cannot be said about this place. For a restaurant that is open until 2 am, you would expect to be able to order off the menu until at least midnight. At the very least, if you are going to limit your menu to pizza and 7 appetizers, make sure you can cook those items well. My husband ordered the supreme pizza. The outer crust on the pizza was burned while the crust in the middle was raw and doughy. How does this even happen? I ordered the chicken fingers as there were no other protein choices on the menu. The chicken was obviously not prepared in house and it was cooked into oblivion. I've had crackers that weren't as dry as that chicken. Now for the service...if I could give our waitress negative stars, I would. Drinks were kept topped off until our food got there and then we only saw our waitress one more time. At that point, she asked how our food was and I told her it was awful. She laughed and then never came back to the table again. 25 minutes later, someone else (I assume a manager) brought our ticket.

Great lunch spot, variety of food options all of which are good lunch quality. I've never been to watch a game or for dinner thus no five stars in addition to the fact they continually seemed understaffed at lunch but the waitress is always so sweet it makes up for it just a bit. I recommend the wings for an app & a personal pizza!

Really good food and very friend staff. Beers cheap but wine is like $14 or I'd give it a five star. Their pizzas, sandwiches, salads are all fresh. Can't go wrong with anything in the menu.

I have seen, when they are super busy, that service can go down hill. I've never personally had any problems, but I've seen a table near me be ignored for 30 minutes while my waitress checked on me multiple times. I enjoy the food at every Louie's I go to. The fork and knife French dip is my favorite! If I'm looking for something lighter I get the crispy chicken wrap. The fries are shoe sting style-my favorite! Over all I think this is a pretty basic representation of Louie's. It's nothing special, but the food's good and it's in a convenient location.

I don't LOVE Louie's, but they do have some good items on the menu. They also aren't a bad place to watch a game, especially because it usually isn't as crowded as the other Midtown bars. Their salads and sandwiches are good and I really like their fried green beans. One complaint I have about my recent visit here is we were sitting at a table in the bar area, surrounded by the glass windows, and it was uncomfortably cold/drafty. I will avoid sitting in the room until it gets warmer outside.

I love getting the chicken club salad to go because they give you so much more then when you dine in. FYI. Awesome place to watch the game as well. Louies also has daily specials. Drink, shots & beer specials!

Food was nothing to right home about. Great for sports though. Stanley Cup, NBA Finals and 2 MLB games. Plenty of seating- (did like the sweet potato waffle fries).

Great food! Our family of six ate until we were stuffed plus an appetizer for $62. All the entrées were good for the money. Overall a satisfying experience.

I like Louie's. The food is always pretty darn tasty. The pizzas are really good. This always a standard place to meet sporting buddies with picky food tastes.

Moving to OKC and came to this place 2 times in 4 days. Great place. My son and wife enjoyed eating here as well. I am moving across the street now into the new 1212 apartments. I will be a coming here all the time. Great and friendly staff too!!!

pretty decent HH specials and the appetizers are good. pizza is great here! great-sized patio that hosts the thunder games. service is dodgy sometimes, which is the only reason i gave it an a-ok.

Awkward and terrible service. The design of the restaurant is just strange to me. The hostess stand is there, but the hostess doesn't seem to do much and you seat yourself. I was there to grab drinks and meet a group of people and we were pulling a few chairs up to a table of about 10 already seated and we were told that we couldn't pull chairs up in that area. No explanation was given just that we weren't allowed to do that. it was a strange and awkward conversation. I had an odd starting contest with the two employees that were working when they couldn't explain why. We just decided to go elsewhere and left, but the overall experience was terrible. The other times I have been there have not been as awful, but the service is consistently bad. For a restaurant that has just average food to be that bad when it comes to service is baffling to me. I don't go back here anymore and I have not quite understood why anyone does. I think part of it has to do with overflow from other places in the area being crowded at peak hours. I am really hoping that Louie's decides they need more locations in Moore and they give up on this location so something else can come in. Their location is great, but unfortunately my bad experiences will not allow me to go back.

McNelly's was packed to the brim Friday night and we had a party of 4 so we decided to go down the street to Louie's. It was kind of empty when we arrived but quickly filled in within the hour. I ordered a Stella.... And the boys ordered Jamison's on the rocks and with coke. Our waiter was handsome and attentive! As the night wore on, we ordered some fried green beans and a side of fries. YUM! The green beans were crispy and had a thick coating. The fries are shoe string, extra crispy and delicious with ranch dressing! I can't wait to try the entries next time...

Last night was my first time eating here. I have to say, I wouldn't necessarily make any real effort to go back. While the food was decent, the service was just awful. A couple who came in after my friend and I had food on the table before our waitress even asked if we wanted to order anything. We were waiting for so long we could have literally gotten up and walked out, ordered somewhere else, and come back before she even noticed we were gone. Along with ignoring us, she messed up my order. How someone confuses a side of chips with fruit is beyond me. Admittedly the other waitstaff seemed to be quicker. We just happened to roll snake eyes and got bad service. If I were to ever go back it would be strictly to pick up my food and leave.

Came here around midnight one night and didn't have a problem finding a table. They have a late night menu that consists of several different types of pizzas and appetizers and tasted decent. They have a large list of $3 shots which had a lot of great options. I went back another night to watch a Thunder playoff game. We got the snootiest waitress ever. She was rude from the beginning. We were there for 2.5 hours for the whole game just like everyone else and she made us feel like we were a pain for her. At one point she even tried to take our plate of nachos that was only half eaten. She had the same bad attitude towards every table she was waiting on. This restaurant revolves their hours around Thunder games so I thought it would be a great place to cheer on our team. But if they're going to make us feel bad for sitting around for so long, then I'd rather go somewhere else that will let you watch the whole game and not make you feel like you gotta leave after a certain time. And in OKC, there are lots of options.

So I am a regular here during lunch time as I have a client that takes me here for lunch. I happen to know that it is a seat yourself restaurant but as others have noticed, it DOES have a hostess/host stand which can be very confusing. Today, my client tipped his bowl over and made a complete mess. Other reviewers have noticed this issue before and you think they would do something about it!! I only eat salads here and wish they would offer at least one salad with a steak option. They only seem to offer chicken in salads. Service is mixed but usually good. Drinks are pretty cheap. Guys, get new salad bowls!!!

I ordered take out from here. I had an appetizer of chicken tenders, and the chicken Caesar salad. The chicken tenders, while slightly burnt, were actually good. They are your standard "grill" tenders though. Nothing extraordinary by any stretch. The salad was crummy to say the least. The lettuce wasn't fresh, and the croutons stale. To top it off the dressing was nasty. Not sure how you screw up a salad, but they figured it out. The tenders saved the day though. They ensured that I will in fact try the place one more time. Not satisfying, but everything was under $10. So I suppose you get what you pay for.

Good food but the service here blows. Was started with one server who took our drink order then went and sat at a table and started talking to friends. 10mins later still no drinks, flagged down a waitress who got drinks and our food orders and disappeared. Flagged down a third person who brought the food and our check. No offers of dessert or the like. Louies at lake hefner is MUCH better than this one.

I like to think that I'm an optimist but when it comes to service I find myself a bit pessimistic. I live by the old adage of expecting the worst and never be disappointed when it comes to service, but even that has been trumped by the abysmal service at this particular Louie's. I've long been a fan of Louie's, the one in Norman that is, campus corner to be exact. The food there and at this Midtown location is basically the same, bar food that is pretty good if nothing spectacular. This particular location seems to take the already low bar I expect in service and lower it another notch. My last experience here was so poor that I've decided to boycott this location, or at least in theory as I always seem to end up here at least once a month due to overcrowding at other locations in the area. And that should say quite a bit! When other places are packed you are almost always assured a quick entrance to Louie's, unless you are like the unfortunate Julie P., who I can relate to, who was left standing at the door as if made invisible like so many of the 80s movies. I've had that kind of Beetlejuice-esque experience myself several times. What started my boycott of this restaurant started off as an unremarkable night. I was eating a quick dinner with a friend before heading to a movie. We both ordered something quick and easy - salads. Well, Louie's has these large oddly off balance bowls that if you are not careful you will spill your salad. I've almost done it myself before and lo and behold my companion dumped her salad all over her and the ground! Now, we both had a good laugh about it and the waitress came over straight away to help her clean up. This is where it gets interesting. The waitress admitted that this happens quite frequently. If so, I would think they would rethink their salad bowls but since I'm not privy to the Louie's think tank my input was not heard. Thankfully for Yelp I now have a voice! Well, as most people who have worked in the restaurant business know, you usually make a new dish for a patron that has spilled it, especially when it was an admittedly common occurrence. Also, we both did say we would gladly pay for another salad, more out of common courtesy than thinking that we would be saddled with the cost of three salads! Well, much to our chagrin when the bill arrived, the waitress must have taken us very literally as we were charged for three salads. Seriously? How enraging! I had offered to pay but at that point was wishing I had demanded going dutch so it was too late. Now, I could have brought it to the attention to the manager but I loathe people that complain and ask for managers, it just seems unseemly so I just sucked it up and paid roughly $43 for our two salads, two drinks and one that slipped to the floor. Never again! If I can stick to my guns and not go there in a moment of weakness this Louie's will never see another dollar from me. Ridiculous!

This place is perfect for me, right next to the midtown Y, 10 minutes from home, food is cheap and it's not that crowded. And finally, they will put out of town sports on for you. It is a really chill place, all the servers and bartenders are really cool and it has a good vibe. The only thing I get is the house salad with grilled chicken, and it is awesome. It has a patio. And it is going to get mobbed when the new condos come in on 13th and Walker so enjoy it while it lasts!

Louie's is always reliable, tasty, and reasonably priced. It's a great place to stop any time - - I especially LOVE that they have black bean patties available.
